Frenchville-Ste. Hilaire ferry, ca. 1920Contributed by Ste. Agathe Historical Society
This ferry was operated by Fortunat Ouellette. It was used to carry passengers and livestock between the Maine (Frenchville) and New Brunswick (St. Hilaire) in the 1920s. A second operator of the ferry was Rene Bard. A cable was used to guide the ferry safely from one launching point to another.
